Payment Terms & Trade Finance

We agree how and when payment moves, put it in writing, and check the documents before money or cargo changes hands.

01 / What this covers

Where this helps.

Payment terms are part of the commercial deal, not an afterthought. We set out what is paid, when, against which document, and what happens if a document is wrong.

We are a trading company, not a bank. Where a bank instrument or insurance is needed, we say what it covers, what it costs and which part we handle.

What we need from you

  • Order value and delivery dates
  • Buyer and supplier locations
  • Proposed payment terms or bank requirements

If you do not have all of this, send what you have. We will ask the questions needed to scope the work.

02 / How we handle it

Three steps, each with an output.

The work is broken into three clear steps. Each ends in something you can read before the next one begins.

  1. F1

    Agree the terms

We match the payment structure to the order, the parties and the risk each side is taking.

    Output

    Written payment terms

  2. F2

    Arrange the instrument

Where needed, the letter of credit, collection or insurance is arranged and checked before shipment.

    Output

    Instrument or cover confirmation

  3. F3

    Control the documents

Documents are checked against the terms before presentation, and settlement is confirmed in writing.

    Output

    Document check and settlement record

03 / What you get
