The questions, in order.
Getting started
01What do I need to send you to get a quotation?
A specification, a target quantity and a destination port is enough to start. A spec sheet, drawing or reference sample all work. If you do not have a formal specification, describe the product in plain language and we will come back with questions and an indicative price range.
How long does a quotation take?
An indicative price range within one working day. Up to three options priced the same way within five to ten working days of receiving a usable specification. Where a factory visit or third-party audit is genuinely needed, we quote it as a separate disclosed line and it adds a few days.
Do you charge for sourcing and quotations?
No. Finding suppliers, checking their certificates and preparing a quotation cost you nothing. If a factory visit or third-party audit is needed, we quote it as its own item rather than hiding it in the unit price.
Quality & compliance
02How do you check quality?
With inspection rather than assurances. We check before production starts, during production, and again at the container, using standard AQL sampling. If a check fails, the shipment does not leave. On a failure you get three options: rework at the factory’s cost, replacement, or a credit.
Who carries out the inspection?
Inspectors who do not work for the factory, trained to your specification and allowed to reject a lot. Pre-shipment inspection is done by our own inspectors or by a third-party agency you choose, and we state which in the quotation before you order.
What happens if the goods are not right when they arrive?
Send us photographs and we take it from there: evidence, the supplier, and the fix. Rework, replacement or credit. If the problem was ours to prevent, we cover it. We keep your paperwork for the period the law requires, so a claim can still be raised later.
Shipping & payment
03Which Incoterms do you work on?
All of them. We will tell you honestly when a DDP quotation is not workable for a given product, rather than pricing it and finding the problem at the port.
What are your payment terms?
For exports, commonly 30% on order with the balance against a scanned bill of lading, or 100% against an irrevocable confirmed letter of credit at sight. For imports, 14 days from entry, or against documentary collection where agreed. Terms are agreed before anything is ordered.
How long does shipping take?
Sea freight from India to the Gulf runs about five to seven days; East Africa and Europe take longer. Air freight is a few hours to the Gulf. We will give you real dates for your shipment rather than a generic range, and flag it early if the timing looks tight.
Do you handle customs clearance at my end?
Yes, through licensed brokers in the destination market. Before your first invoice we send an HS classification with our reasoning written down, so your own broker can review it if you would rather use them.
Working with us
04How do I know you are a real company?
Check the certificate register on this site. Every licence, certification and membership we hold is published with its number and the body that issued it, and you can verify each one directly with that body. You do not have to go through us.
I am a manufacturer. How do I get listed?
Apply through our suppliers page. We will ask for your licences, your capacity and two customer references, and we will visit or arrange an independent audit. If you are not the right fit we will say so, and where we can we will tell you why.
Can we deal directly with the manufacturer?
Often, yes. We are paid a disclosed sourcing and quality fee for the first few shipments, and after that you are welcome to own the relationship. We hand over the audit notes, the factory contacts and the documentation either way.
What happens to my enquiry?
It reaches a named person during working hours, and you get an acknowledgement with a reference number the same day. If we cannot help, we will usually say so within a day rather than leaving you waiting.
